    Default Ballhead

    Hi all,

I would like to know what is the difference between different ball heads?

For example for Manfrotto what is the difference between 486 and 488.
It was mentioned that 488 is perfect for medium format user.
Can 488 also be used for 300D.
Sorry if my questions are abit silly, I'm newbie

I am currently using 300D with an eye for a 70-200 f2.8 in future.

Have used the 488 for my D1X with 70-200 f2.8 without any problem as it takes up to 8kg. It is also meant for medium format .. two-in-one. You just need a good tripod to take then entire weight.
