Thumbs up Thanks for all your help. the wedding at esplanade is over!

To those who have helped me suggested the settings for my 2nd try on wedding photography.

This time is the Mass Wedding at Esplanade which some of you would have seen it on TV last Saturday.

Wedding photography is fun!

And learnt lots of lessons. The photos turn out OK

think lessons learnt

1) need really fast reaction
2) Esplanade hall is dark
3) need tele lens, my 85mm lens not enough. lucky i can find a spot near to the stage and my fren another side...we both complement each other.
4) i shld have taken her entire body. her dress is sweet! oops!
5) i shld cordinate phototaking after the event as they just stone there and talk...as a photographer i shld initiate
6) i shld learn some group photos positiioning and more creativity needed rather than those boring line-up-straight-in-a-row type of photos

overall she is satisifed with the photos.

it is a few hours event and we already took nearly 300 photos (not a lot) and I shld have more CF cards!

For stage shoot in Singapore, the most popular and best lens are the
70-200mm and/or the 100-300mm. Probably F2.8 is the most ideal.
my 2 cts worth.

Hey I was there shooting for a friend too.. In my opinion the organisers' setup was not very photographer friendly. They put the solemnisation table too close to the edge of the stage, and if you wanted to take a group shot from just below the stage it would be a very very bad angle. And, too commercialised.
