Just a false alarm. Norton Firewall is known to be lousy. A lot of false alarms.
Refer to the link below, scroll down a bit and you will see someone comments on the false alarm in Norton Firewall. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rema...8080~mode=flat Use something like ZoneAlarm (for novice user). If you are good with your IT security knowledge, I highly recommend Sygate Personal Firewall. It is simply enough to use and yet have the flexibility for advanced configuration if you need it. P.S. I worked as some sort of IT support. Got lot of user complains at using our product (web-based) due to norton firewall problem. |

I personally feels Norton's product is ok. Actually I'm using the Internet Security, not the Firewall stand alone. Actually they are the same also la. But if you look close into the confiuration option, its actually very CHEAM. Must really know how to configure, else either all get entry or all kenna denied.
Hear of Sygate also, will try the near future, as I've not formated my PC since last year after installing Internet Security. Other times, the systems seem to have lots of "bugs" and "worms". Need to get the Pro version of Zone Alarm, else can forget about it. |
