haha... no problem! if my dad is really buying this cam, shld get some initial testing results out by tonite. if not, tomorrow shld be up on this thread.

but, i've seen the FZ-10 in action during brett's studio shoot on 1/5. one of the bros was using it, and the pic quality is superb! and, this is an unbaised view from a 300D user, okie!! (so, pls dun me....). one other shooter that day commented (after seeing the test pics) said that this is a lecia camera printed with a panasonic name!

suggest ur fren go test it out? i'm going mscolor in AMK later ard 1pm. perhaps he/she can go there too?

any other bros out there can help out xmen? esp for those using FZ-10, and takes macro.

Default macro funct

okie. just came back from mscolor. my dad ended up buying the fuijifilm S7000. with all the discounts and freebies thrown in, came up to slightly under $1500.

anyway, i asked florence to lend me the FZ-10 to test the macro function. the min focusing distance is 10cm. tested on a $1 coin on top of the counter. anything less than 10cm and the cam can't focus properly. i'm using the auto funct (ie AF, auto WB etc). the pic quality is superb, as expected of a leica lens-ed camera.

he liked the design better than the FZ-10. also, S7000 is lighter than FZ-10. its a personal thingy lah. like i said, IMO, i thot the pic quality of FZ-10 is slightly better than S7000. (fuji users - it MY OPINION!!!! so, dun flame me here! )

if i remember wat florence told me, she quote ard $900+. but, i think if u serious buyer, she can discount a bit and mebbe even throw in some freebies! just let me know if u buying? mebbe i can help u sweet talk her or mr loh!! no guarantees!

straits times RP is $1099  went to bargaincity see...$880+ i know this price not the lowest around.... but seems like the "promo" price is including the free gifts as well....

still considering between fz-10 n canon s1.... zzz.... seems to prefer fz10 quality but canon s1's design seems to look better....

Yes.

All the photos at my digital web site are using the FZ-10, except my Beijing photos, which were taken using a Canon filmed camera (autofocus, etc.)

Hope this tempt you to buy one.
