Default What plugins for photoshop do you guys use?

Just wondering what kinds of plug-ins you guys use. Personally, I use imagenomic Portraiture for portrait photos, Noiseware for noise reduction, Photomatix for HDR, Topaz Lab Adjust for punchy photos, OnOne Focalpoint for bokeh isolation, genuine fractals for image enlargement, mask pro for masking, Nik software exposure for photo effects.

I use Topaz Lab Bundle for noise reduction, masking.
It has many other functions, but haven't got to making full use of them yet.

The vector algorithm used by genuine fractual is much better than photoshop.. Significantly so when printing large images @ high dpi.
Makes a 12mp camera generate images with 24mp or more, add abit of sharpening and its pretty decent.

If you print alot it is pretty useful. If you somehow require large images, or crop on a regular basis it is useful. If you need to read tiny prints on an image that is pixelised it is useful. Other than that photoshop will do the trick, don't really have to fork out extra money for the software.

Not really. You can bring parts that are out of focus back into focus with better software. This is good at bringing parts that are already in focus out of focus, emulating f1.4 DOF on an image taken at f16 for example. Works great with strobes that forces you to high apertures. Complete control over which areas to throw out of focus saves me time putting on ND filters when using strong strobes in bright daylight.

Oh ya. Forgot about this. Makes the b+w converter in ps look like some toy . But I don't shoot b+w often though.

just check out the price... wow... its so ex... but guess its worth that price since i see a couple of pros here using it.

any other recommendations for b/w besides this?

Hm. To a certain extent it is possible. Don't expect a perfect result but you can still bring it back to focus by enhancing details.

I use topaz detail from topaz labs simply because it can work in 64bit CS5. But there are other alternatives such as sharpener from nik software.

If the image has too much noise after it has been churned out, I'll usually turn it into monotone (b+w for example) using silver efex and add b+w film details using exposure

I use this too. And the built in one in photoshop. Sometimes exposure to add b+w film grains

thanks. shooting with 10mp camera right now and sometimes need to generate large outputs but find the upscaling from photoshop isn't that good.
