    Came back from Lords. David said that MD will become faulty if plug in and out from the camera too often. Is this a fair statement? CF too is subjected to the same wear and tear if one will to remove it as many times.

    Well, that would be especially true for the older batches of MDs for the reason that the disk was positioned at the end whereby it's removed from. Thus, if you were to exert too much pressure on that end, you could effectively destroy the drive. The newer batches come with thicker walls and the disk has also been shifted to the other end (where the pins are) and thus, frequent removal wouldn't be an issue anymore.

    any thing plug in and out too often also will be faulty
