Default Emolux 52mm conversion lens 0.5x, camera adaptor tubes

hi... posting on behalf of a friend... he only asked me about it after making the purchase...

he bought a lumix LX3 and was recommended by the shop staff to purchase the three following items for $200:
    1. Digital camera adaptor tubes for panasonic lx3 52mm
    2. Emolux 52mm HD Professional conversion lens 0.5x (Digital HD wide angle conversion lens with macro)
    3. Steinzeiser Professional filter

and an additional $100 for a 2500mah 3rd party battery..

please advice if he overpaid for these items (i believe he did..)?

    thanks!

They probably baited him with a really low price for the LX3, but more than made up their profit with those items. I'd say they're worth about $40 maximum. Personally, you would have to *pay me* to attach a cr@ppy emolux conversion lens to my camera. It will only ruin the quality.
