    a PnS was never designed to do sports photography in the first place IMO
    eat. drink. shoot

    Thanks for the replies I've been away, I haven't just abandoned the forum!

    I do a lot of cropping. hence my desire for a higher MP count Thanks for the recommendations and suggestions, all!

    Even with a 6Mp image, you still have lots of room to crop. In the first place, learn how to compose properly and you'll remove the issue of cropping.
