Default Camera Warranty Service Due to Expire.

    Hi all,

Would like to know what kind of free servicing can we get for our cameras before our warranty is up? Can we ask the service center to help clean the sensor if it is dirty? Would this service be free under warranty?

Cleaning of sensor is not free. It's not covered under warranty

You could request a full functionality check, and ask to check for calibration with any Canon lenses you might have.

If you've noticed anything strange with your camera recently, you could also ask them to check.

Cleaning, maintenance and wear and tear is usually not covered by warranty.

They may do it for goodwill... and usually will when bringing the camera in for other problems. But on paper, it is not free.

If you can afford such an armory, why not go buy additional warranty for all your gear?
