Some thing that can give me more angles in the center column than just vertical or horizontal.

hey guys, really new and foreign to the whole tripod thing. I just got my sony a55. and i will be going USA for 3 months this summer. would be looking to take some landscape photographs. so any beginner tripod to introduce? there's some at the mass order, going at $68 claiming that its the best for beginners? I just really need one stable enough for my camera + one uwa.

Hi, if you're talking about the Fancier, that's fine for the price, but it won't be "the best" for everyone. It depends on your unique needs, so suggest you read up a bit more, it is not without its flaws. But it will suffice for most beginners. Cheers.

maybe you might want to make a trip down to TK Foto at Funan and take a look at their Sirui range of tripods?

ok another question. tripods are not brand specific right. they can work for all camera brands?

errr. yes. the only connection between the camera and whatever support system you use, is the little threaded socket at the base of the camera, and I am quite sure it is an internationally-standardized size and thread
    Exploring! :)

Perhaps Sirui? Can check them out at TK Foto (2nd floor Funan). Not too familiar with other brands that have this configuration.

    Gitzo Traveller?
