erhm...if you take kids...use simple backgrounds.or decrease ya depth of field..and go down to their eye level...otherwise they will look diminished..(look in my gallery for the section on kids)..for the surfer shots...u need more zoom....take more of their facial expressions....crop to their bodies tighly so tt we can SEE them...

tts about all...only 4 pix??

Hi Witness,
Thanks for your comments. I had a look at your gallery-kids gallery as recommended -- Loved the baby shots especially (the babies are so innocent & cute)!

For the kid blowing bubbles pic I posted, I also found the backgrd very distracting/messy, but didnt know how to overcome that problem. Do u mean that by decreasing DOF, the distracting backgrd problem can be solved/reduced? (Paiseh, I'm a newbie - donno how to decrease DOF even...)

Cheers!

Hi Isis, the 2nd picture (kids) lacks composition. Would be good if the composition is one 1 kid playing with the bubble but zoom in with just the face and shoulder. Creater a good DOF with blur background and bubble in the foreground. Give it a try...

cheers!

Hmmm my camera zoom may not be powerful enough, so I think i shd be thick-skinned & go closer to subject to try that out next time!
Thanks for the tip Oracle0711.
