    Default Model Beware II

    Dear Mod,

    It is not that I create for nothing. I believe many guys had visited that forum and able to see threads created by this guy. I will name 2 threads to support;

    1. Local models in moment of lust
    2. Love me, love my body - by Tingyi

Not to mentioned there is a thread, The Best of Clubsnap which I believe it has nothing to do with this forum.

I have nothing to gain by posting but rather I just want to tell the models here to be careful of this guy.

    Take care models.

the models made their choice when they stripped, they should have been fully aware of the possible consequences.

as much as i blame the predators, i also blame the prey for being stupid, silly pieces of chicken who let themselves go so easily.

the girl cannot respect herself, being blinded by the promise of fame, blinded by whatever reason, perhaps feel glam in front of the camera?

the photographer also needs to get a life, whole day take skimpy, meaningless pictures of girls, there is a lot of better and more productive activity that will be more useful in the long run.

there are also models here who sell their bodies. welcome to life.

If the model had not posed for the photographer in that pose, how is the photographer going to take the picture?

Does it not come down to 'self respect' on the part of the models, no? I believe they accepted payment and willingly consented to have their bodies photographed. They chose to walk down this alley as a thinking adult.

Instead of finding solutions to stop such things to happen again, you even call the models (victim) stupid and being pieces of chicken. We are blinded by fame and money?

You can tell the whole world that if the girls are to be blamed of being raped because she is wearing less, the buyer got cheated of inferior good is stupid because he is stingy for paying less.

Well, I guess there's no point for me to write further as the support is on the photographer. Maybe most guys would love to see more posts from him in the future instead. By stopping him, guys would lost all the enjoyment and excitement.

    you are not?

did anyone force you to take off your clothes?

there has to be a moderate ground, the fault lies on both ends, there is no need to point one finger at people when there are 3 pointing back at yourself.

i have made numerous posts about photographers' behaviour in these forums, many people will vouch for that. but putting the ball in the court of the photographer entirely is also not right, and isn't that what you are doing, by absolving all models of responsibility when it comes to taking off their clothes?

did the photographer rip the model's clothes off?

did the photographer hold her at gunpoint to take it off?

he did not, he lured her with honeyed words, he lured her with the promise of more money, whatever it takes. he is wrong.

she is wrong too. it is as simple as that.

if models will not think twice before shedding their clothes, then predators will have a chance to do all these.

if they had thought more carefully, instead of regretting later on, about how this will affect their life.. then possibly more of them would have held back.

you are not the first person looking for a solution. you won't be the last. there is no solution, you can't safeguard everyone everywhere at everytime.

what we can all do, is to educate, and to eke out people who have stepped beyond the boundaries of the law, weed them out and throw them into a world of pain.

unfortunately, the photographer you have a problem with has not broken the law, not explicity, anyways.

I think many here will take no sides. But your example here is irrelevant. Cos the models are certainly not physically forced to do something against their own will.

and there are many models who are more than happy to have their bodies on display.

that's life, too. there is no right and wrong here. it is also not my body, i also have nothing to do with them. i just hope they knew what they were doing and can live with that later on.

i think as an adult, you are responsible for your own actions. if you happily take off your clothes and regret later on, there is no need to walk around saying that photographer force you to strip. at least be honest to yourself, honest to others, say that you were silly and you didn't think, and you won't do it again. that's all you can do.

So you mean to say the models went for the photoshoot thinking that the photographers shoot without memory cards and all the photos taken will never be view by another party?

And seriously, the models themselves are not complaining. Instead, they continue to attend photoshoots.

just take a look at modelmayhem, it is not just the photographer posting such pictures for most of the models.

I think the debate of whose fault it is depends on the context and does not apply generically to all cases. So I don't see why we should get into a heated debate over it.

The common point I can see from both sides of argument here is that models and models-to-be must carefully assess the risks and consequences when taking on any assignment. That I think, is the important point everybody, including the TS is trying to make.

That's right. They must be responsible for their own actions. Putting others to blame is plain stupid. If the models willingly and happily let their bodies photographed by other people, they should also have the common sense to know that images will certainly be circulated and viewed -- it simply adds to their resume in life for better or worse.

Ok guys, my little attempt at making sense of this thread, using two extreme examples.

If there are two photographers, one with known reputation of putting his models' photos on sleazy websites and another photographer who (seemingly) takes the photos for his own portfolio.

As a model, would it affect your decision on which one you would rather work with? If your answer is yes, then I do think there is a need to warn others of dodgy photographers.

It is not always a simple case of "the models should know", how would they know if such cases are not flagged up?

The "models should know" logic still applies. The model should know that once the photographers put their photos on their portfolios, anyone can copy it and put it on sleazy websites. Its on the web. So whether the photographer is one with known reputation doesnt really matter here.

well, thats assuming that portfolio is posted on the web.

So you mean that if you were a model, it does not affect your decision at all, even though you know that one photographer is directly responsible for posting on the sleazy website VS one whose photos were leached? That there is no difference between the two? Ok, then fair enough, you have made an informed choice.

    Perhaps what's in question are:
    1) the kind of pose(s) the model is doing in front of the camera (it has a bearing on how sleazy the photo will look regardless of where it is being displayed)
    2) the dressing/theme of the shoot

Whats the difference? In both cases, it ended up on the sleazy website. My only advice to models: If you dont wish to see any nude or semi nude or whatever photo of yours on sleazy website, DON'T JOIN ANY photoshoot with such theme.
