Just to clarify, whether my ballhead (Benro KB-1A) compatible for the arca-style L plate?

I think I can get the L bracket fabricated locally. My company has a regular precision engineering workshop that can pretty much fabricate anything out of a CAD/CAM drawing.

It's basically an angled alumninium bracket with the appropriate "rails" and slots. After that it's just hard anodizing.
If many people order, I think the price can be brought down significantly, since programming the CNC machine is the costly part. The material cost is probably negligible (a few bucks).

if you want, can even make out of titanium
    Exploring! :)

    Kev,

This post suddenly made me come down from my mountain ... jialat you

Bloody tempting! Make sure you have enough space for opening side access panel to get to ports on the camera.

Meantime, let me crawl back to my hole ...
A picture a day keeps the blues away!

They've made stuff for me (work-related, not personal) that's even better quality than the OEM stuff we buy from Germany!

By right the material (Alu 1100/5000 series) & finishing (anordize or blackenize) are not cost so much, the highside is on designing and processing (CAD/CAM)..
