Uncle at TK recommend the 2204X, which after trying, I like a lot. Problem is, I really like the flexibility of the 190xprob, can do horizontal center column for product shoot etc... If I get 2204X, I will have to get rid of the 190xprob, which is hard to get rid nowadays... and I lose the horizontal capability.

    haizzz.. decisions decisions decisions...
Simple.. Keep ur 190Xprob and get the 2204X

Dont like 2204 because when folded much longer than 2205X .... so packing for travel abit more troublesome.

i'm back...! wow seems like I missed a lot. Just out for lunch and a site visit, and another 1pg+ of TCSS and poisoning!!! oh my goodness.
So what talks did everyone register for? I see a lot of 'jacobs', and 'mr/mrs scubagolfer'... wah, all trying to absorb many many information! good good!
My weekend usually quite packed so better not put my name down for so many talks. If I can make it I'll squeeze with the rest for the remaining seats. Judging from Live@SAM the previous time, it wasn't TOO crowded.

Our big outings will likely be on weekdays only. On weekends we do our photography like commando-style... in small teams with a specific purpose/target.
    You work long hours?

What are you trying to support with the monopod? You have a fast telephoto lens?
Benro is not bad. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they have a CF monopod for just over $100.

    Hey guys,

When you are out at K-13 and TK, ask them to show the Vanguard Alta Pro, both in Aluminium and Carbon Fibre. Can tilt like the Gitzo Explorer.

Or at K-13, Rollei carbon fibre with head, for less than $320 if I'm not wrong. No harm looking, touching, feeling, buying, and using.

Almost bought the Vanguard, as I was already using 2 Vanguard Bags.

    No harm looking. Cheers!

And no harm buying, just helps the economy only. Hehehehe.

but i'm only after a ballhead....

and with the incessant whispering of the voices in my head, I think I'd better go for the Markins, unless I try it and dislike it somehow.
Otherwise there's always that "what if?" in my head... damn irritating.

    but yeah... no harm looking

Check for me the prices for Alta Pro 284, 264, 254

264 is aluminium. 284 and 254 are all CF.

I got a feeling it will be quite expensive.
