    My truck - Scania R620

Ford Aeromax and a bunch of trucks bokeh-ed out in the background

Sodium lights, lots of trucks, looks like a highway trucker rest stop?

Nice trucks! The blue Mercedes Benz SK caught my attention. Hehehe. Me and my friend quite like that truck, because it has the brute Mercedes Benz power, V8 power. Btw, theres an orange Scania R620 in singapore. Its owned by Tiong Woon Crane.

If im not wrong, these are Tamiya trucks. If so they are sold at Stargek showhouse at Paya Lebar there. But these trucks are expensive (if im not wrong starting at $1k+), yet worth every penny.

These trucks start out fairly cheap if you just want something nice to put on your shelf as a non-moving display. But when you start wanting them to have an accompanying trailer, running lights, sound, and custom aluminium bits, the costs runs up pretty quick.

My truck is fairly basic as far as mods go but functional:

    Truck kit
    Trailer kit
    Light and sound units
    Motorized trailer legs
    Radio gear

Costs about 1k, I got mine in from Hong Kong though. Cheaper by 20-30%.

Taken at Pasir Ris? Was with the group previously, and shared some pictures. Remembered the Okto reporters were supposed to turn up, but flew aeroplane.

Huggable got the chrome limited edition Scania 4x2, and who knows, Tamiya released the 6x4 short after!

This picture really looks like the Peck Tiong Choon lowloaders that move SAF's armoured vehicles around.

Nice set of photos! Used to play 1/10 R/c.
    What do I write here?

Yes, taken at Pasir Ris. You'll probably see a few new faces. It would be good to have some of the old guys come back.

Well, you can take heart that the chrome edition is still unique to the 4x2 R470, and if you want you could probably buy the required parts to get the R620 configuration - it is available on eBay, the frame rails, rear suspension, fenders and axle.

We have another meetup 7th August, it is a Saturday.

    Hope you can drop by!

If I'm anal, the local trucks do not have the cab spoilers and skirts, and I'm still trying to get some stickers to give it more of a local flavour!

Plus, the trailer is too high for carrying a tank, what I need is a lowboy like 1:1 scale one that I've posted.

So far I've only attended one meet-up, and my lil' boy was so excited to see the trucks in action. For my R470, I haven't got down to un-box it even!

What time is the meetup on 7 Aug, 7pm? Will try to drop by with my family.

Was wanting to comment on the trailer, but didn't want to be offensive. Should be using a low-loader to transport the tank.

It's not cheap to buy from Stargek. If you can afford to wait for shipping, get from ebay, from shops based in Hong Kong. It's cheaper, even with shipping added in.

    Batteries and controller sold separately.
