Tokina & Sigma Comparison

Hi all,

Juz have a few questions that I hope some of you can assist.

Comparing the Tokina AT-X Pro & Sigma APO HSM range,
1. For Canon AF, which focuses faster?
2. Does Tokina have a teleconverter that will allow the AF (Canon) to continue working (assuming using it on a f2.8 lens)?
3. Does the Sigma teleconverter work w/o any problems (on Sigma and others)?
3. Quality of optics?
4. Quality of build?

As I am thinking of renewing my lenses with f2.8 ones and can't afford L glass, just want comments from you guys on your experiences.
