I'm looking for a 24mm Manual lens for my Super Program. There is someone selling but felt quite reluctant since he/she didnt give contact number.

Thinking about 24mm and 28mm too. The M35 IQ is superb but still felt a bit long in tight spaces. Too bad I lucked out on your 28mm. I don't think there's much POV/distortion difference between the 2 lenses, is there?

Guess I'll wait for Fengwei or Creampuff 20(ish)mm fire sale. (if any)
    Brand loyalty? Pffttt...| Got Flickr?
I shoot JPEG (got a problem with that?)

me too, for FW & DL 20ish lenses are definitely value for money.

i got creampuff sigma 28mm and enjoying every moment of it. it is the workhorse of my lens arsenal, running from sample to macro shots.

for the record, i am not trying to off load my 28mm macro lens.

Seefei, I like your macro image, I think it just shows you don't need to spend a bomb but need good imagination to make good photos.
    Your mantis shot is superb.

i kinda like 28mm, 24mm is fine too.

i only kept my 24mm because there is this problem that i don't know how to solve:

doesn't affect the exposure one bit though. i am finding scant use for it in singapore though, i don't really feel as inclined to do street photography here, partly because i have more preferable things to shoot (landscapes, cats), partly because they just don't appeal the same way london streets do.

so maybe i will let it go soon. the problem though, is that i don't know how to price it.. don't think anyone else has ever sold a miranda 24mm for k-mount here, at least not that i could find. love the lens though, it's small, it's well-built and it's sharp wide open too, just that i don't like keeping lenses around that i won't use. anyways, i'll ask you if you want it first when i don't find a use for it anymore, best to have someone who will use it get it.

I suspect its the same as the Cosina, Vivitar 24/2.8.
Does the aperture ring feel kind of 'light' and goes from f2.8 immediately to f4?
If it does, its likely to be the same one.

I have one branded Cosina on Ricoh PK/A (the Ricoh version k-mount)
Quite a performer esp. from f4.

Just like collecting all the star wars figures until nothing to collect then start with star trek?
I like my set up as compact as possible. That is why whatever the gripes the *lenses guys have, i stick to my pancakes. But recently also added a 1770 for walkabout too.
BTW, i am the other way round. As a trekker, i collect all the Star trek stuff first and then maybe.. and its a BIG maybe, I will look at Star Wars.

No lah...the Pentax is still my primary Starship. As I have said earlier, I am looking for a replacement for my PnS and the Sony Nex5 fits that perfectly, especially now that i have gotten the 16mm pancake lens. During my recent overseas trip, I was travelling so heavy that I did not even have space for my cap! So the Nex5 fits snugly into a small camera pouch to give me aps-c quality photos without the wash out PnS images. But now I suddenly decided to keep the F200EXR still for compactness because while the Nex5 can fit into my bermuda pocket, the F200EXR can slip into my side pocket.

Of course, for everything else..there's Pentax! Except now with the Nex system, I am thinking of reverting back to the K-x...hahaha...I seem to change back and forth. maybe solution is the "buffet method". Just have the K7 and Kx too!

The Sigma 24mm F2.6 macro is a viable option.

I have 3 copies in Nikon mount. Tack sharp. In US you can purchase them in a re badged form Quantaray. Its also very good.

Just read from Ebay someone selling this lens. It says the Miranda is from Cosina. Still looking 24mm for my Super Program. Coz I find 28-75mm Tamron on my Super Program kinda looking funny.
