    Default Differences in effects of flash compensation and diffused flash?

    Hi folks. I try do a search on this but can't really find any conclusive answer. Just wondering if you can help here?

    Will the effects be similiar if I lower the flash compensation or use a diffuser on a flash?

    oh okok. thanks ....I have never used a diffuser before...so usually I lower the flash compensation for the built in flash when the face look over exposed....think will try with the flash diffuser when I buy an external flash..

    low intensity and soft are not the same.

    both refers to the quality of the light but different aspects of it. an external unit will give a lot of flexibility when doing flash photography.

    Answer is No.

    Softening the flash output and lowering the light intensity pertains to 2 diff matter.
    I turned PRO in diaper chg!
