    I actually went up there on Sunday and I brought my Manfrotto 055XPROB (up to 178 cm height). The guards didn't say anything and I was able to shoot freely. I saw a few others that was shooting using tripod as well on that day.
    I did, however, put my tripod inside its case when I got up. So, maybe they didn't notice

    maybe i can try my luck, my tripod's folded length is a weeee bit shorter.

    is it because the tripod will spoil the flooring of the park? I guess the trick is to be discrete and bring a smaller, less intimidating tripod?

    More likely it's bcoz of possible obstruction to other users on the platform.

    once again, why u guys still havent learn, u must look & sound like tourist, better bet will be looking like ang moh. here, ang moh can cut through many red tapes without so much as to making a sound.
