    Talking camera bags - too many choices

    shopping for a camera bag is not so easy after all..
    so many brands..so many varieties..mind-boggling
    Must be fashionable, and yet affordable.

    Recommendations from Darren Rowse--> http://digital-photography-school.co...or-your-camera

    All designs and assortments..
    http://www.squidoo.com/fashionable-camera-bags
    http://www.squidoo.com/camerabags

    .. some of the brands recommended by fellow forumers when I did some research :

    =====
    MAss sales - winer (by member winer campbags)
    Tamrac
    Crumpler
    Lowepro (flipside)
    crumpler
    Think Tank Streetwalker
    Nat Geo Walkabout Medium Rucksack.
    Lowepro Primus Minimus only
    Off Trail 1
    Bagman
    Think Tank Rotation 360
    $5 messenger bag from beach road,( diy foam protection)
    =====

    My Requirements
    budget - $150 and below
    Bag - easy access, preferable single click to open bag
    Capacity - holds one DSLR, one compact, and one extra lens
    Water proof - I would assume most camera bags are water proof?
    Design - I like messenger type of sling

    =====

    Is Funan a good place to start shopping/touching most camera bags under one roof?
    Any other tips from old-birds are welcome..

    ps.. I am now using free-gift Nikon bag, look like Uncle shopping in wet market

    You may want to consider Kata 3N1 series.

    I like the flexibilty and easy access to the cam.

    Based on ur requirements, i recommend Think Tank Urban Disguise 35 , but u might need to stretch ur budget though..

    Reasons being : -

    budget - slightly over $150
    Bag - easy access, preferable single click to open bag
    Capacity - holds one DSLR, one compact, and one extra lens and room for a netbook or other personal belongings.
    Water proof - Not tested but can withstand
    Design - Is a sling bag that cry quality but not shout out "camera bag"

    Funan is a gd place given that TK Foto just shifted there, apart from that, CP is ard the corner with lotsa variety as well.. worth drop by for a look.

    Finally, two models suite my requirements.
    Zoom into "crumpler 4million" and "Lowepro slingshot"

    Click to view YouTube of slingshot 200, I got the facelift slingshot 202.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIoN2P2PB9A

    This bag allows me to swing the camera into action, but I need more practice to look elegant and professional

    More satisfying than getting my Bag, is meeting Samuel from John 316.
    I have never been to his shop, but he treats every customers with respect and dispense top-notch service.

    Never hardsells, but he gives lot of recommendations (be it to newbies or pros).
    Cool chap, will recommend to friends .

    If you like the lowepro slingshot, why not look at the vanguard uprise 34 or 43 which is similar and IMHO more stylish looking
    Body - K-x, KX, ME
    Lens - DAL18-55, DAL55-300, DA 35 Ltd, M 50 F1.7, A 50 F1.7, Sigma 10-20

    Look for it @ TK foto. They do carry a wide variety of Kelly Moore's bag.

    Anyway back to the topic, IMO, a good backpack would be the Vanguard Uprise series.
    I like the design where the side could be open up so much easier for fast drawing of the camera out from the bag.

    There is actually a price list for Kelly Moore bags published in the price guides section by nightwolf. Just check the pricing there.

    TK Foto's pricing are pretty much standard to almost everyone.

    as a female - seems like buying bag i can make decision faster then buying camera lens or upgrading .. .ha ha ha

    ... The ladies version is really not too bad - just that the final decision still on the spot consideration

    Do note, some (if not all) of the bags are made of "made-made material" not real leather. If it is PVC, there might be a chance it may crack and peel in the future.

    do give a try on Domke, they are good, comfort and it doesn't tell a camera bag alike

    other wise billingham is good for long lasting, and not to forget the high end workmanship Fogg bag

    yes most of them are shoulder bag
