    thanks guys for your expertise.
    most of the time i like to shoot landscape and night scenery using tripod, so i find the live view more useful than using ovf.
    re the af, i think its quite fast ( i cannot compare with other brands LV since i haven't tried )
    I think the most useful feature is the MF CHECK LV.
    im bit lazy to use the ovf.

    hahaha I guess LiveView technology has improved to such a stage where it is a viable alternative to the traditional optical viewfinder in many cases.

    Okay, so Sony certainly has a big one up on their LVs.
    Allows u to do this



    shooting above everyone's head.
    During events, if u r not standing in front of everyone, basically it'll be extremely hard to shoot at the stage unless u r extremely tall. With Sony's LCD + extremely fast live view, u can shoot overhead, this is a viable option compared to using OVF and shooting between people's head.
