great series. Peng Eik, lovely images with nice bokeh. Are these images taken in sequence or at different interval?

Raymond, these are not is a sequence just making up a story, hehehe. Not sure why the bird bend in such a manner. I suspect the behaviour could be that of a mating ritual.. will be observing more to confirm.

Thanks, it was funny, in fact I was laughing and enjoying the sight then. On a serious note, any idea what trigger this sort of behavior as it is not only confined to this bird but several others in the colony too. I suspect it could be one of those mating ritual thingy, I may be wrong.

lol...this a great series dude. Good sequence captured, the "stiff-necked" bird's pose cracks me up. No idea why its behaves in such a way though. Maybe its doing neck stretching exercises?

Thanks for sharing!

P.S this is just a personal view...disagree with Tim's comment that the vertical portion of the branch should be cropped. IMO it gives some balance and perspective to the picture by breaking up the horizontal line of the branch that the birds are perched on. Just my 2 cts.

Nice pics you got there. Leave the branch alone. There's perpective in it.

As for the cropping of the vertical branch, I guess it depends on what you want from the pictures. Probably, Tim look at it from a journalistic view in that the series of pics are meant to tell a story and hence show it the way it is ie. crop and focus on the subjects.

Anyway I tried the cropping(as suggested byTim) and put it into a 4 sq comics(as suggest by macross) and I find it works in this respect.

Here it is.
