    Personally encountered a whole gang of these step-ladder people... Luckily I was involved with that particular event and had priority area to shoot, alongside another official photographer, and we had lots of space! Haha! I think event organizers should cordone off an area for their hired official photographer. Like that, nobody can block the official ones. The rest outside will be first come first (re)served lor.

    True. Officially appointed photographers have the right of way to shoot and hence should work closely with event organizers or even the security personnel onsite to ensure no wanna-be photographers get in the way.

    The "ladder users" are just one of the few problem child.
    There are also those who will pop out from nowhere beside you and slowly adjusting and maneuver themselves into a position that in the end they start to obstructing your view....
