Default Need advice for a notebook with these specs:

    Hi

    I'm shopping for a notebook.

Came across one from MSI with these specs:

    MSI CX420

Anyone using this notebook or any experts want to comment on this notebook?

Main uses will be for photo and video editing, surfing, word processing. No high-end gaming.

My 3+ yrs notebook died and repair is not cost efficient.

If not this, then any recommendation? Budget upto $1400 only, want at least a i3 processor.

The 15" and 17" mac book pro's are using i5 and i7. 13" Mac books and 13" Mac book pro are using Core 2 duo's.

Yes, price is correct that's why it seems so attractive.

That indeed seems like a great price. Make sure it's not too good to be true.

    Found the Samsung R480 too.

Quite similar specs to the MSI but with a better Nvidia graphics card and now comes with a free Canon all-in-one printer (MP258) free at $1399.

You may want to consider this. Hard to find anymore. I have one and extremely pleased with it.

This one better, if you know what flexview screen is all about. And within your budget too.
