Thread: photography places

    Default photography places

Hi fellow friends! I'm thinking of doing a photoshoot in a cold room, restaurants..(where frozen food is stored).
Any idea if there's such restaurants that allow people to do that? For a cost or even free advertising for the restuarant at least?

    Thanks in advance!

Almost none will let you. But if you really want, then pick up the phone and start calling.

Almost no one will let you only because the fridge is used to store food. And if outsiders go in and out of the place, if there is any food contamination, who will be responsible?

Can try interview macdonalds...first day of work ask where is the fridge. Then sneak in there(but make sure no one locks you inside) and start shooting. MIA for the whole day then eventually get sacked but get your shots done!

go to any wet market, sweet talk to those uncles unties, say you need to shoot their cool room for school projects, and you are a very poor student, can't afford to pay them, but willing to wash up their stores as return favor.

Let's say something more encouraging shall we? Truth is, yes, most likely you may get rejected by working/busy restaurants.

But like what others have suggested, mcdonalds and the markets may be a good place to try.

I know of a fish supplier who has got a huge cold room in Woodlands. The company is called Fassler iirc. I've been there, they allow the public to go in freely and grab their products, because they are already in packets. So no prob of contamination here. Worth a try.
