How do I edit my Video taken from my canon500d?

From what i know, the format of the video file is an MOV. file, therefore it cannot be edited by Windows Movie Maker.

How do I convert it or is there another free program i can use to edit my video.

    Thanks

First, convert your MOV files to AVI or WMV so you can edit it using Windows Movie Maker.

    Try this free converter.
    FFmpeg

The best converter i have used without losing video quality is "VoltaicHD" but this application is not free.

    Hope this will help you.
