    Can anyone please recommend a nice compact camera with excellent HD video quality plus zooming during videoing (preferred).

    Lots of choices depending on your budget.

    I did...i even tried Lumix Fz35 at a shop. The HD video was good but the still photos were pretty soft... I was hoping to get recommendations from users here...
