    Robert Capa once said,
“If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.”
Capa wasn’t advocating the use of longer lenses; he was telling us to physically get closer — to become more involved and intimate with our subjects. In fact, a wide-angle lens is often a better choice than a telephoto lens when you want to “zoom in” on your subject.

Agree. Get close, get involved to get to the heart of the scene.

Nah don't think there should be any rules on what makes a good picture, at least, even if have, they can change over time

not sure about rules, but guidelines?

i have learnt that, when you are a nobody who just started photoghraphy,
there some sort of guidelines how to capture and compose pictures.. and ppl will judge you
on how you should have follow "those" guidelines.

when you are somebody established, heck the rules and guidelines! everything you do, sure have someone to fav it! ah ha!
The thing that i fear the most, is that my pictures will bore you to death...

... is just a good example how things taken out of context can be dangerous It's probably good advice for a *lot* of photography, but certainly isn't good advice for *all* photography.
