Maybe this would help - Buy and Sell..
I would like to share this practice for you buyers and sellers out there - this is something i have personally. Something learned from one of the 2nd Hand shops here.
Exchange the I/C number or particulars with buyer/seller.
I have personally practiced this for sales/purchase of "costly" equipment second hand from ppl here in CS.
Itmes like -
lens, camera body, flash guns, tripods, ball heads.....
Basically, at the point of transaction, i will record his/her IC number (with telephone - not really a must though - address better) for reference. And i will give him/her mine. THis is to allow tracking purposes if the folowing occurs -
- buyer felt cheated and want to trace back for claims (legal action)
- In case where stolen items are involve, at least you can trace back to the person selling. (not full proff...at leat somew here to start off for investigation)
- give buyer a sense of confidence in buying your equipment.
As a buyer...you should get the sellers IC number .....its my personal advice...if he/she refuse....then don't bother closing deal.
The above practice may not be important seller but its a "must" for buyers.
so ...hope this helps...and maybe we should see less unhappy 2nd Hand buyers..in CS..

i would not bother giving my IC number to any buyer though, would rather sell to other buyers.
