    thanks for your advise.
i had decided to ignore the dust in my lens le.. until i found a stupid red dot on my photo taken.

then i tried various scenarios, and found the red dot there..

so i think it's a dust speck on the sensor..

As long as the dusts are visible on your shot, don't care too much. If visible then you have two options.... use the dust delete function of the camera (most of the newer cameras has it) or go for cleaning at CSC.

If it is fungus then good luck

    More likely a hot pixel.

Dust on the sensor will not have a distinct color. Just a dark/black smudge.

    Post up a sample photo?

    Re-map your sensor.

You could try this yourself. I can't guarantee it would work, but some folks have reported that it did on certain bodies.

    1) With a charged up battery, turn on 'Manual sensor cleaning' or whatever it's named in your camera's menu.

    2) Switch ON.

Your mirror will raise and shutter will open.

    3) Leave it open for at least 30 seconds.

    4) Switch OFF camera.

    5) Done.

Retest to see if the hot pixel is still there.

If it is, you might have to try it with the lens removed. Just be sure to have a body cap attached to your camera before proceeding.

    All the best shad.
