How do you get the focus right for the bee... i tried this once on a similar flower and the bee was slightly out of focus. do you focus first them shoot or do you rely on the auto-focus to get it right?

mine is at : http://www.kjmedora.com/bg4.jpg

this is after sharpening the bee...... it is not as sharp as yours....

I dont think it was "digitally manipulated" in anyway. I've seen that Malkw has been very successful in doing this kind of stuff for the past days. Well done!
Btw, I think I saw at the Sundial Pond last Sat morning.

Did you see his avatar? Do you know that he's the winner of the National Geographic / Sony Digital Photography Contest 2003?

Digital touched up maybe, retouched, don't think so.

Jeez...what makes u say that huh? I don't see the point of making such a thoughtless remark based on thin air. You must be jealous or something. Why don't you go out and shoot some pics and post them here for a change? Better than passing some lame comments...

Sorry for the OT in the thread William, excellent shots btw, you are really improved a lot in your techniques. Keep up the good work.

Oops. Sorry, it could be a different guy attempting to shoot the bees hovering around the lotus there.
