    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
    Composition, lighting

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
    Hopes to showcase sunset in Singapore but needs to learn more about the settings required for each one

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
    At Jurong East MRT station while waiting for the train to arrive, I saw a beautiful sunset so I popped my DSLR out and took it in about 10 seconds.

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture?
    I find it average with warm colours.

    Hi Derrick!

    Personally, well done capturing the moment! But the photo lacks a focal point, and is just a snapshot IMO. There is nothing special to attract the viewer's attention.

    I think the colours here are fine, but with a bad composition, I think it is not so relevant at this point of time.

    Maybe you could follow the rule of thirds.
    2/3 sky, 1/3 land.

    Yeah I wanted to but was restricted by the barrier on the station platform haha. Thanks for your input too!

    Exposure is quite spot-on. Composition-wise, it lacks punch. But for a 10-sec shutter, this is one heckuva steady shot. =)
