how is 300d vs d70? handson exp only pls

haven't had the chance to test drive a d70...
so excluding paper specs,
asking ppl who've hands-on extensively (aka 100 shots is good)
how are things like viewfinder, AF+lowlight, heft, batt life, knockability etc like?
(no jed, dun suan me becos I'm considering nikon... for a fren

)

(btw have seen the 1D MkII image quality, fark~! 1600 is like 200! caveat: limited test of cos)
