haha... i guess i'm interested it cos of its versatility and weight... i find the 18-200 and 18-250 a bit big and heavy makes the small k-x look very unbalanced.

From the sigma's website the 18-125 is heavier at 505g compared to the 18-200 at 405g

    It is also bigger at 74 x 88.5 mm whereas the 18-200 is 70 x 78.1 mm ...

Also from the review the 18-200 has less distortion than the 18-125 ....

btw comparing the 18-125mm F3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM (but pentax mount dosen't have OS) and 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC .

strange... 2 different weight listed. Sigma website states that its 505g. Pentaxforum states that its 385g.

could it be that the pentax version is lighter because it doesn't have OS?

Maybe , as it dosen't have OS but then its only 20g lighter but overall its still bigger ?

and http://www.photozone.de/pentax/148-s...report?start=1 compared to http://www.photozone.de/canon-eos/32...review?start=1 the 18-125 show more distortion ...

hi guys, u all get it wronged. Mine is Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC. Not the 18-125mm F3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM.... Obviously OS as well as HSM take up more space and put on some weight... So mine should be 385g in weight to be exact.

    Cheers for the lens

    505g - 385g = 20g???

anyway, i think mystery solved. the unit discussed here is the non-HSM version. hence, its only 385g.
