Default An green bug drops on my table

    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
This is my first post for critique. I hope to know if I am doing the right things when it comes to taking macro shots.

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Taking a clear, nice photo of my green guest... I guess

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Warm light litted table. Flash is use to brighten the shadow overcast. I still dunno what this bug is, but it's rather big. it's about 1.5cm(W) x 3cm(L) x 1cm(H)

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Photo was taken with the aid of flash without tripod. Details looks fine to me but I think there's still a lot for me to learn. Please commence comments

Pretty gd shot but ur point of focus is on the body and not the eye. U should have been more parallel to ur subject n get the eye in focus instead of the body.

    Camera: D90
Lens: Tamron 90mm MF Macro 1:1 (It's a pretty old lens that I got off from someone else cheap, hence not too sure if it's correctly depicted)
Flash: Nission 622i - Shot taken with rear flash with strength 3 if I didn't remember wrongly.

As for the invitation, could you please pm me the details?

    Thanks.

nice one.. try wif various angles and u'll notice that there's a lot more interesting areas to see esp the eyes, mouth, abdomen, etc.. u can chk out the macro shots forum to see how the macro gurus capture the intricate details of a bug.. I've learned a lot from there as well..
