21 Guns Salute is located at the War Memorial Park.

the salute cannons are @ the memorial park, opp espanade mrt exit. Last week when I pass by it did not fence up, not sure during the actual NE time will there be more restrictions, also the mobile column will pass by the other corner of the memorial park to enter pandang, so dun need to run too far ^_^

after all these then can move to espanade bridge for the fireworks

Hey guys, got a few questions.

Suntec is nicoll highway there right?

How's the security there, heard its pretty lax but next weekend ne show right? So will they beef up security? If they beef up security how bad would it be?

Also will a 18-135mm lens be long enuf? And also when is the best time to go and shoot?

    Thx

Hi slmka, I was also at the red zone on the 2nd row!

There was a very spoiler structure slightly to the left of me
The seats were so super narrow, i could only extend half a leg section of my tripod (still amazed I managed to deploy) - but it was as good as useless.

The rain sad. So many droplets on my photos I 1) had to keep cleaning 2) had to delete many photos. Worse, my flash battery died so I was shooting in 3200 ISO as the night passes. Really wasted...with such a good location.

Anyhow will share the links soon..deleted many cause im quite strict...maybe should keep some for the sake of documentation :| The sky was bad visibility and dull grey - basically made me delete most of my airplane/helicopter shots and decide to try again..

well it was quite the eventful day ..challenging to shoot in poncho in the rain in cramped environment LOL. something done something learnt.

i was in the yellow sector, although i m v.close to the mobile column. but only can see their backside.

n i totally agrree with u, the seat was way too cramp. once u go in, v.hard to come out. let alone deloying tripod or even accessing my camera bag.

I think I saw you while waiting for the right side (closer to church to open) =) during the mass performance I am also need to keep cleaning my camera, I manage did a few shots but almost all turn out quite bad also X_X

I was lucky as people next to me were gone after the march pass is over (but already missed all the great photo chances) so got a bit more space to take photos.

This week I will be staying ard memorial park area for the salute canons

You can generally walk to the top to take video unless it's a full house this Saturday which is likely cos the whole place will be filled with Primary 5 kids. The seats are so much smaller compared with the ones in Floating Platform.
