following four shots of Trithemis Aurora
1/200 sec, f/11.0, flash on ![]() 1/125 sec, f/9.0, flash on ![]() 1/125 sec, f/9.0, flash on ![]() 1/200 sec, f/9.0, flash on ![]() help id on this dragonfly? ![]() 1/60 sec, f/4.0, flash on ![]() all taken hand held. iso is 400 except for the last one is 100. taken wit 25mm ext tube on 70-200 f4l

He was asking about PhotoShop UnsharpMask... Lovely dragonfly pics... You should try NeatImage to clean the background a bit...

Those are not noise. He sharpened too much, that's why it turned noisy... |

would be prefer if you include the EXIF settings for reference ..
all shots are well composed and exposed , well done ! I like 3rd and 4th shot the best .. for 3rd shot, try wider angle ( more leaf ) and avoid dark background .. |

I like the 3rd pic on Obelisk posture. I just find that the flash is a bit strong, you've got some blown highlights there.
If you will shoot dragonfly from the top angle e.g 1st and last pics, make sure the tip of the left and the right wing is of the same distance from your lens. Well done. ![]() |
