Bob, you're really an advanced case of butt flu, man... No hope for a cure already

Good ID too! Many would have mistaken that female Horsfield's Baron for a Malay Viscount.

Hey this the 2nd time I shot the species, got it wrong the 1st time

I actually didnt intend to shoot butts, was after some nice nostalgic kampong scene. But once I see butts and bugs I forgot what I wanted

you are really in the advanced stage of butt flu. oh dear, you might have spread the flu to ubin. even worst, the ministry might now want to clear the island of all the butts. i think cs need to issue HQO to you to reduce futher damages.

good series. i think i will frame my pics like what you did.

If you're finding the images too saturated, why not try shooting in Parameter 2, which has all the parameter settings at 0. Then you can choose to saturate, contrast or sharpen in Photoshop? Or even go so far as to set custon parameters using Set 1, Set 2 and Set 3. Can change the values to -1 or -2 even.

As for yellow cast, maybe shoot in RAW then can adjust white balance from there? Is your white balance on Cloudy or Shade now? That tends to give yellow cast.

LOL no wonder, most of the time its on shady. You know lah, people with the butt flu normally hide in the shade of the forest so I normally set to shady.

I find the White Balence for Shady not very accurate. As you said, everything usually turnw out yellowish, as if trying to simulate sunlight? I think AWB should be quite ok if shooting in jpeg. Also when you shoot with flash, AWB will usually be similar to using Flash white balence.

I second that...Bob, set it to AWB and see how your pics turn out. You might need to set it to custom WB if need be.

The female Horsfield's baron is nice...really 'pops' out

Ye I'll do that and try out on my next outing. I really should mend the tear on the horsfield's right forewing, but too lazy to do it LOL.
