Thread: Portable storage solutions

  1. #1

    Default Portable storage solutions

How many SD cards do you have? No. + Capacity

I currently have 2x8GB SD cards with my 500d. If i take raw, that will only give me ~600 photos. What do you guys use when you travel for 2 weeks ?

Buy lots of SD cards ? Bring a portable HDD around ? Or even a SSD? Or do you use a netbook so that you can review on a daily basis?

    Looking for ideas!

Ytd i was at Simlim. Saw 8gb SDHC going for 24 dollars i think. Saw 16 but didnt remember the price. Didn't see any 32gb tho. How much would that cost ?

Also, Diavonex, how much are those ?

Edit: Since I don't travel much, value for money should come first.
How come nobody uses portable hard drives ? Scared virus/corrupted/data loss ? Or inconvenience since you may not be able to find a lanshop, with a computer that can read sdhc cards ?
