    Default File size for processing

    Hi,

I normally send my pics to a Fuji Lab for processing/printing.

What is the smallest file size I can give them if I only print 5R ?

    When I crop, do i need to maintain the 2:3 / 4:5 ratio ?

What will happen to the pic if it is not in this ratio ?

file size is in term of how many kb of the jpg? no definable answer, as depends on how mach details on the image itself, images is dark and has alot of fine details, the file size will be bigger than images has alot of white and less details.

if you are asking about pixel size, the lowest ppi you can go is 240 without pixelation, usually we go for 300ppi for easy calculation.

    5R (5"x7") is 5:7 ratio,
only super 5R (5"x7.5") is 2:3 ratio, super 5R is cost even more and some lab may not offer this paper size.

if is "FILL IN", some part of the image will be crop away, if ask for "FIT IN", will show full image but have white borders on both sides.

    Thanks Bro.

Is 300ppi good enough for a Fuji 5R Print or should it be higher ?

300ppi is good enough for any print sizes from Fuji Frontier Machine.
