I believe the Lexar also has a lifetime conditional guarantee. I bought a Lexar 40x 516MB card recently but didn't really read the fine print about the conditions.

ok just called them up....for those with life time warranty, it mean 1 to 1 xchange for the 1st yr, for subsequent years, the card will be sent back to USA for repair and we would have to pay admin charge for it (how much I don't know, didn't ask)...

Hi,

I think when they say lifetime, be very careful. If I'm not wrong, it's limited lifetime warranty, meaning that they'll only support if the product is still within shelf life, i.e., if we can still find them in the market.

Once the product is obsolete, don't think so it'll be supported.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am very puzzled at what I saw at the PC Fair.

AAA's COM Solution has a booth selling the Sandisk Ultra II Cards and they put up a printout saying "5 years warranty on Sandisk cards. Others only 1 year warranty" whereas Vector Magnetics singapore (the authorised distributor in Singapore) only have a 1 year warranty (this is from vector magnetic's website).

But AAA's COM Solution is a authorised reseller of Sandisk Cards from vector magnetic's website.

I even had a salesman from Song Brothers guaranteeing me that the card is "lifetime warranty".

So who's right when it comes to the warranty part?

Anthony

ultra and extreme cards purchased from AAAs during the PC show 2004 all have lifetime warranty. its stated on the package itself. for validity of the warranty, just keep the receipt + the original packing. to claim the warranty, u can go back to AAAs.
