Wah... lunchtime also the butts got no chance to hide!
Nice rich colours, Bob. The female Blue Pansy is a bit soft, probably due to the angle which you shot it at. Like FujiS2 said, the male Striped Albatross is a keeper! |

Hehehe, lunch take only 15 mns, I go 45 mins to shoot
I work at Singapore Post Centre which is beside the Paya Lebar MRT. Theres this grassy open ground just beside Singpost right under the MRT track. Lots of Striped Albatross and Blue Pansies there. The Albatross feed on tiny white flowers alongside the concrete path that runs parallel to the MRT track, but difficult to shoot when feeding as they flit from flower to flower. Best bet is to wait for them to rest on the lalang leaves near by. The females rest on the lalangs when evening comes and are easy target. The Blue Pansies like to sun themselves on the grass patch, they'll fly off when you get near. But they are quite dumb and will soon land on another spot. Sometimes they'd land right at your feet like the female I shot. |

Bob,
Nice composition but I think #1 looks slightly overexposed and #3 looks a bit soft. |

Your shots appear dark background and they look like taken in the forest. What ISO did you use ? |
