    Focusing slightly towards the front:

Focusing slightly towards the middle (triangular railing in the center:

Forgive me for all the dirt and dusts on the model, this is a test of how deep the DOF can go...

Used a 10 sec timer on the shots (all on tripod)... I think it's time to get the shutter release cable...

If there are things to improve on, please let me know, thx! I know they are rather sucky shots...

Coming from NovJoe and MadMartian (the pros of macro shoots), I'm really flattered. Thank you! But really, feel free to shoot the images to bits, I'm here to learn. No-holds-barred!

After these, I intend to try the Macro shoots with an extension tube - hopefully to achieve an even greater DOF... (pray pray hard...) At the moment, the battery is almost flat - need to recharge for 8 hours... Still using the electricity from battery first time out of the box..kekekeke... Waste not want not.

Btw, the main lighting is courtesy of kitchen window, the secondary light - one A4 100g white paper (hand held)...

Whoops, maybe you're right. Maybe it should have gone under the Abstract / Still Life DG? I'm doing Macro, yet probably not macro enough compared to the insects shown here?

I know, so I'm wondering if the moderators can help me shift it to the appropriate sections? Kinda feel like an oddball here...

Well, if I can lift this thread and tip toe out of here I would...

Should I contact any of the moderators to help out? Who's in charge of this gallery btw?

Now I feel more like a sore thumb... odd ball is already an understatement...

Ok sore thumb oddball, maybe just leave it here for the time being while you contact the mods. In the meanwhile just get us some starbucks coffee & we'll not persue the matter for the time being. Very fair right?

Thanks, glad that you like it. I'm going to remove those pictures soon... was just having fun with the background - not too serious work. I didn't crop the background image (it came as it is) and the reason why I didn't move up the model higher to show the wheels is because the perspective of both images will not match up (it would make the model look like a giant in a landscape) - otherwise I'd have already done so... It would have been possible if the background had more leg-room at the bottom. The only way to have the full vehicle into the image (and with matching perspectives) would be to reduce the size of the model.... but then nothing much can be seen....

Maybe to look for a better matching background next time... (a real hard search)

    nice take!
Bro, I think you can probably bring your tank model to helix and shoot it with disco light bokeh with a 50mm f1.8 to add more creativity.....
