    Movies are generally based on stereotypes (east or west). Its easier to understand and does not need explanations.
    Before East Asians displayed any form of profitability for Hollywood, east asians were often cast as :
    1. The mysterious mandarin/guru who spouts "ancient wisdom" (and most likely has kung fu)
    2. The "Foo" "Wongs" "Chans" man servant with bucked teeth.

    Even Bruce Lee in the Green Hornet well into both categories.
