    Default I "is" Noob

    Hello

I just joined this forum and a noob here from Singapore. Will try to go through and pick up as much with those technical terms and so on. I just gotten NX10 and addicted to it. Maybe becos the screen is awesome as compared to my sister's Nikon.

Anyway, I will see you guys around in the forum.

I am shooting from dark places. Are u expecting very bright images? That will be next time if I went to Orchard Rd. Merlion Park doesnt have much lighting, unless u are asking me to increase the aperture value or editing the photo, which I am still learning.

    Waaaa.

Yes, I noticed that the NX10 is using OLED for the display, not your standard LCD. My hp is also using OLED, it is so much brighter and better than LCD.

    Very nice indeed...

Yea... Actually I felt taking photo better as compared to my sister's nikon, although she can rotate her screen... I can see more details in my screen. And under the sun, it is hardly washed out, thats another advantage. But i think rotating Amoled screen will be the best combo. =x

We don't use the dSLR as a P&S, where we shoot with the LCD. We use the optical view finder. Obviously the method you applied to your sister's Nikon is wrong, we hold up the camera's Viewfinder to the eye. Unless under certain conditions like above head or low level.

Like coolthought's comments, I agree with him that the pictures are generally too dark. As I can't see the EXIF data, I can't tell you which mode you were using, Auto or any of the manual modes.

Comparing LED and LCD is like comparing an apple to an orange. LED is light EMITTING diode, where as LCD needs a backlight. With each LED dot emitting light, it will obviously be better when viewed under sunlight.

    HTH.

    Cheers!
