Can even select input with hanyupinyin, 5 stroke Or handwriting. Locals tend to input pinyin better, while PRC tends to write better with the other.

sorry to dig up an old thread and ride on it but.
i have a data plan and gotten a iphone 3gs recently.
the problem is the map application,
it shows me a wrong location even after updating.
and not wrong by abit, its totaly way off by quite abit
i cant get any reply from starhub and i cant find a friggin email add to send to apple.
is this normal and common ?
hmm, i tried working it at home (rosyth road) but it shows me in at poh huat road at times..even the nearest it tells me im 2 lanes down to the left hand side of where i am !!!! not sure if its supposed to be this inaccurate with 3g or phone app just inaccurate
sorry to dissapoint... the calculation method use by iPhone is based on base stations.. you should be connected to an outdoor base station which usually have a wide range of up to 500m. therefore iPhone will calculate ur predicted point through the intersection of 2 or more base stations.
i suppose ur using goggle maps, try going indoors and do a relocation. result should be abit more accurate.
