How to remove CP5700 NextPhoto 52mm adapter?

Hi, any idea how to remove the NextPhoto 52mm filter adapter from the camera? It was fixed by a previous owner, as such no idea how to take it out.

The adapter does cause shadow when Internal Flash enable while shooting Macro.
