D100 can't fire with SB-25 TTL mode

hmm..
dun know what happen to the camera.. the top LCD panel shown the flash is blinking.. and camera refuse to take photo....and flash can't fire..

once switch the flash off.. the camera can shoot liao...
when i switch the flash to "A" mode, camera can also fire but no TTL lor..

problem with my flash?? or the camera setting.. look thru the menu and found nothing i can do with....

have one event tomolo.. need help from all the "lao jiao" ....

i think my question not very clear..
hmm.. the main problem is.. D100 + SB-25 set to TTL refuse to fire..
i can see the flash zooming is changing but the camera top LCD panel, flash icon is blinking and camera refuse to take photo... hmm.
is my question clear???

D100 can do TTL with non DX flash meh?

Yes.. can.. i can see the flash zoom changing while i zooming the lens in and out..

i-TTL need DX flash... TTL works for most of the nikon flash i think...
have been asking around last time so i knew a little bit.

I think what u mean is that the flash can communicate with the camera, but TTL works on reflection from the film plate to calculate exposure... and the D100 is a CCD, not a film plate...

Therefore, D100 can only do D-TTL...

i-TTL can only be done with the newer bodies like D70, D2H and the flash guns that support it, namely SB-600 and SB-800... FYI, D70 DON'T support D-TTL!!!

It's SB-28DX, SB-50DX, SB-80DX, SB-800 and the up-coming SB-600.

Other older Nikon Flash can only do Auto or Manual on Nikon's DSLR.
