Default Topping up a 0% installment payment plan via CC

    Hi all,

Im planning to buy some gear by paying 0% installment plan thru my CC. One shop wants to topup 5% to the total cash price so Im wondering if this is the usual practice. Is 5% the standard additional topup for all cam shops in SG if you want installment plan?

    Thanks and happy shooting!

No, Cathay Photo doesn't do this. The price is the same regardless payment by cash/credit card, and installment plan.

most mega store (like HN, Best, Courts) don't charge extra, but their price is RRP. You willl might wish to around to see which shop gives you the best offer for 0% installment.

    All the best !!

you can choose to buy from other shops
vote with your wallet and let the shops know that they will lose sales if they choose to go this route

some shops charge additional 5% for credit card payments (and not if you are paying 0% installments). there are even shops that charge additional 3% if paying by NETS

Those that accept CC in the first place should not be charging extra for installment plan..

Those that accepts Cash may impose surcharge for CC payment.. but that has nothing to do with the installment plan or not, I guess.
