Question Manual AIS lens on DSLR

Hi,

It may sound stupid to you but I am totaly new to DSLR.
Can my manual AIS/AI Nikon F mount lens be use on a digtial Nikon DSLR?
If yes, what will I be missing?

1. Yes you can...
2. You will loose metering.. and AF of coz.. hehe..

Do becareful which AI lens you use.. some of the older AI lenses have a prong at the back of the lens mount that may hit the mirror..

Depends on which DSLR you use. hehe...The D1 & D2 series can meter with manual lenses. Just like the pro/semi-pro film SLR bodies.

Yes you are right.. I thought he was refering to the D70.. hehe.. and D100..
